As a first-generation migrant, I understand the role cultural and family backgrounds play in our mental health. Our first session will focus on building trust and an understanding of your problem. Later on, we will look at different aspects of your life such as childhood, family, culture, and relationship to understand how they can hinder or support your recovery. To make the best use of your time and effort, I will offer practical advices each session along the way.
My practice focuses on understanding the person and their story, to see each client as a complete picture instead of a diagnosis. I believe in each person’s ability to pursue their goals and build their own happiness. A psychologist’s role is simply to listen, reflect, and offer guidance from an objective point-of-view. As such, my approach utilises a range of client-focus evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy, Schema Therapy, and Mindfulness and Relaxation Strategies.

“We are not going in circles; we are going upwards. The path is a spiral; we have already climbed many steps.” ― Hermann Hesse, Siddhartha
The past is complicated, full of confusion, fear, and regret. But through contemplation, we can make sense of this past and let it inspire our future. As a psychologist, I am honoured to accompany you on this journey.
